2nd Apr 2007
As the Conference draws close, Hart Publishing
- publisher of the King's Law Journal have become a Friend of
the Conference. A selection of Hart's new books will be on display at
the Conference venue, and a catalogue will be supplied to delegates.
27th Mar 2007
Dr Eric Metcalfe, Director of Human Rights Policy at
JUSTICE, will chair the Law in Times of Conflict session at the
Conference. Representatives of sponsor, Simmons & Simmons, will be
present at the Commercial Law session and the reception afterwards.
Finally, we can confirm that Lord Raymond Plant, Head of the School of
Law will welcome delegates to the Conference at the start of the
plenary session.

We are pleased to announce that the Director of the
British Institute of International and Comparative Law (BIICL),
Professor Gillian Triggs, will chair the International Law session at
the Conference.

All Conference papers will soon be online in the
'Sessions' section. If you have registered for the Conference, the
username and password required to access the papers will be emailed to
you by Tuesday 27th March. We are also pleased to announce that
Professor Rick Trainor, Principal of King's College, will be present to
welcome delegates.

Our list of legal experts involved in the Conference grows ever-longer. We can now confirm Professor Ben Bowling and Dr Mary Vogel as subject session chairs.

We are delighted to announce the involvement of Professor Richard Whish and Professor Eva Lomnicka
as subject session chairs. Professor Whish is a leading expert on EC
and UK competition law. Professor Lomnicka is an expert in banking,
credit and securities law. We can also announce the involvement of Dr Jonathan Garton
in the plenary session. A recent recipient of his doctoral degree, Dr
Garton is a member of King's academic staff and will discuss life
as a young academic.
